Words can hardly capture the depth of my experience visiting Hope School in Zambia. The
warmth and patience of the community left an indelible mark on me. What struck me most
was their remarkable emphasis on collaboration. It didn’t matter if the students were the
youngest or the oldest—everyone worked together as one. One moment that particularly
touched my heart was seeing the children share their snacks without hesitation, offering what they had to others with pride and generosity. The sense of unity and joy was palpable,
from their heartfelt greetings to their musical performances and emotional goodbyes. I truly
hope to carry a fraction of the magic I felt there and share it with my friends and family back
home. The raw emotion stirred by this experience is something I can’t quite put into words.
LPP has profoundly impacted my life by providing me with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
that I could not have experienced without the foundation I built through my work with them,
both in and out of the classroom. I am forever grateful for the partnership between LPP and
Spark Ventures, which made it possible for me to witness the incredible people and the
inspiring work being done at Hope School. The philosophy of learning through play is
something I continue to embrace, and LPP has expanded my understanding of what it truly takes to provide a successful early childhood education.
Since returning, I’ve continued my involvement by joining Spark Ventures’ associate board,
where I’m actively working to raise awareness of their initiatives not just with Hope School,
but also with their other global partners. Whenever I have the chance to share my journey to
Africa, I feel an immediate spark of joy as I relive the powerful moments from this
unforgettable experience. My goal is to keep spreading the word and inspiring others to get involved in the important work Spark Ventures is doing around the world.
