On July 19th, two of our LPP teachers, Mr. David Feldman and Ms. Kelly Dicken, along with Sharon Kozek and her family, will be traveling to Zambia to visit our friends at Hope Community School. Following LPP’s initial visit to Hope School in January of 2017 to help establish new preschool classrooms, the desire to address the tremendous need for high-quality books led to LPP providing new textbooks for each student that year. That desire then grew into LPP’s vision and commitment to build and sustain programming for Hope School’s very own library. Construction and planning for the library has been underway over the past year and now that it is complete, an opening ceremony and celebration will be held during their visit. The library will open up enormous possibilities for the young learners at Hope, who until now, have had very little access to reading materials outside of the classroom. Just as with the preschool classrooms, there is tremendous excitement for the library at Hope. Students and teachers alike have been anxiously awaiting the day for this grand project to be complete and to having a beautiful space to gather, read and learn together.

A special thank you to our LPP community of families and staff, whose continued belief in us make it possible to create these types of opportunities and impact for children both locally and globally.
